Theatre Class Descriptions
What will my child do in Creative Dramatics?
Creative Dramatics is the first step in actor's training and is an excellent way to familiarize a young child with the tools(the body, the voice, discipline, basic staging concepts) the actor needs to be successful and confident onstage,  Using a child's natural curiousity and creativity, these classes provides a framework for future acting classes.
What is the difference between Acting and Musical Theatre Troupe Acting?
Actually the same concepts are covered in both acting and Musical Theatre Troupe acting.  The only difference is that with the Troupe all three performing arts disciplines are included as the course of study each week(acting, voice, and dance).
High School Acting or Academy of Theatrical Arts (ATA)  High School Acting is suggested for all those students who want to try their hand at acting, but have not as yet taken a lot of acting classes.   ATA students are high school students who have had creative dramatic experience and/or middle school acting and performance training and who demonstrate a level of proficiency and talent to take their acting to the next level. ATA class is an auditioned class while High School Acting does not require an audition. While not all of our ATA students go on to major in the Arts in college, there is a large number who do. But whether the decision is an Arts career or not, the multitude of benefits of all our acting classes will last a lifetime.
Musical Theatre Troupes and Broadway Babies allows students, who are grouped according to age, to study the three arts disciplines in one block of time at the theatre.  Students take  a weekly acting, voice and dance class which is based on skills that these young people will need when involved in musical theatre productions.
Adult Acting works wonderfully for experienced actors who are taking the class to keep their acting skills well honed as well as those who are just beginning to explore the world of acting. Students with no experience in acting would do best to try out a class. We love our beginners and are so pleased with their progress.
Young Actor's Studio is a one on one coaching series of appointments with the express goal of preparing the actor for auditioning for college, conservatory, professional opportunities.  These appointments are set up at the convenience of the coach and the actor.  Please allow adequate time to properly prepare (a minimum of 3 coaching sessions) as nothing can be gained rushing the process.
