What is Class Voice?
Working
in a small group of "like inspired" individuals, students explore how
vocal sound is created and what they can do to set the foundation for
their own strong, tuneful and well resonating singing voice. Class
Voice works beautifully for students of all ages as it provides a common
background of terminology and expectations, while creating an
atmosphere where students are assisting each other in understanding and
appreciating the various lessons being taught each week. In Class
Voice, students learn melodic and harmonic independence as they explore
creating and singing harmonies with each other. Teaching singing in
harmony are best taught in a group situation.
Private Voice Lessons or Class Voice?
In our experience, we have seen much faster evidence of progress when a student has had a class voice experience. If we have the choice, having a student go through some class voice prior to beginning in the private setting is almost always preferable.
We are often asked about private training for young children and have found that typically a student is not ready for one on one training until later in middle school, although we have made some exceptions over the years. While a student "waits" for their body and voice to mature, Class Voice will teach the fundamentals, proper breathing, and pitch/rhythm accuracy.

Each Semester is 15 weeks. Each School Year is comprised of Two Semesters. Lessons are scheduled once a week.
